Did you know we feature you on Instagram every week? Every day, we visit the profiles of those who follow @Amber&Key and choose someone to spotlight for everyone to see. One amazing thing we’ve noticed: almost all of Amber&Key’s followers are connected to the world of cinema. Some work on screen, others behind it, some organize film festivals, while others write the books that inspire filmmakers. In one word - fantastic! Our followers form an incredible community of film enthusiasts. Now that our community has grown so much, we’ve realized that as a film club, we’re obliged to connect our members by sharing their stories. So, let’s begin!
Today, we’re spotlighting three incredible individuals:
1. Faye Carr-Wilson – An award-winning filmmaker specializing in directing and editing short films. Faye directed the short documentary Venus, which explores issues surrounding disability and has earned two major awards. She also organized the Tyne Valley Film Festival, bringing together like-minded and talented individuals from the film industry.
2. Chris Hochstetter Toledo – A unique filmmaker. Chris and his team produce documentaries addressing important social issues. We admire their boldness and dedication. One standout work is the film Die Käufer der Träume, which remains as relevant today as ever.
3. Sam C. Wilson – An actor you may recognize from Dodger (2022) and House of the Dragon (2022). Soon you’ll also see him on screen in the upcoming release of the series Blade Runner 2099. On his Instagram page, you can catch a behind-the-scenes glimpse into major film projects and see actors in a different light. We love Sam’s performances and highly recommend watching any movies he’s part of.
